The Journey Begins

In the saga, the main character, Ash Ketchum, was sent from Professor Oak’s lab on his seventh birthday in Pallet

Town to become the champion of the Pokémon league and be the first Pokemon Master journeys. Along the way, he made

friends and allies and, despite his beginner status, grew into a competent battler. However, he learns that his

goal is more than just winning the league, but also his own evolution, so he must face enemies he would normally

not have been able to defeat, like the strong-willed Bugsy and the arrogant Pidgeot. To make things worse,

the evil organization Team Rocket set their sights on the Pokémon League. Now Ash must work hard

with a group of new friends in order to confront Team Rocket and make it to the league’s final round.

The first two arcs of Pokemon Master Journeys: The Series follow the lives of four Pokémon Trainers from diverse

backgrounds. The series follows their Pokémon journeys, from the day when they receive their starter

Pokémon through their introduction into the Champion Organization, from which they graduate after eight

challenges, and up to their final battle against the Pokémon League Champion. In the eighth episode,

the Pokémon League is introduced as the stage for the Pokémon Grand Prix tournament, where

the champion of each region participates in a three-day battle of the young Pokémon Trainers.

The Journey Continues In the second arc of Pokémon Master Journeys: The Series, the same four

Pokémon Trainers from before journey to a new region called Viridian City.

of their past. It was stated in the books that “In Japan, the series has also been translated into
