The Story of He’s All That

William Shakespeare’s My Fair Lady reimagined the classic hero’s journey from Pygmalion, and extended that story to include a flower girl who is a “dumb as a brick”. Much of the story’s humor and heart is found in the dynamic between the teacher, the flower girl, and the groom, as well as the society people who feel superior to the ignorant outsiders who can understand language. This movie is an updated retelling of the same tale, but with romance and comedy mixed in, and a whole new group of characters to enjoy. Lily, a girl who can’t pronounce Shakespeare’s name, goes to a summer stock theatre to sing a song she wrote, and meets Greg, a popular, smokin’ hot, actor who is auditioning to play her love interest in the show.

Soon after, he meets frumpy (yet incredibly ambitious) Laney (Addison Rae) and they become friends. When James’ rival Landon (Matthew Lillard) starts giving Laney attitude, Laney devises a plan to humiliate James in front of his new friends. James agrees to it, and convinces the group to make his ex-lover, Alli (Madison Pettis), look like a hooker. The movie was directed by Mark Waters. The movie was shot in Nashville and was released in 2016. The original movie starred Judd Nelson and Rachael Leigh Cook. This movie has 20.

The Cast of He’s All That

Just like the first film, we have a total of nine main characters. They include high school sweethearts Zack and Rhenzy,

their friend Tori, and Zack’s ex, Stephanie. Zack is portrayed by Madison Pettis, the reigning queen bee of the

“social media scene,” while Rhenzy is played by Peyton Meyer. Her character is a guy who considers himself smart,

but despite his lack of social skills, is gifted with a photographic memory and is tutored by her. Rhenzy

has an IQ of 158, and often voices her opinions in Zack’s defence. Tori is played by Addison Rae.

The three main characters idolise her because she is the girl everyone wants to be. She is very

confident and outspoken and is known for flirting with Zack, but he doesn’t reciprocate.
